Drawing and Painting students have been exploring drawing from nature in multiple ways. Mrs. Ganes’s classes began the year drawing the Red Canna flowers in the high school courtyard and are currently starting to paint them in watercolor. A sketching trip to Rock Hall where there are trees that are over 200 years offered challenges to capture the trees with lines and textures. The chickens wandering around the sketching area added to the experience. After sketching most of the drawing on location, students finished the charcoal and ink drawings in class.
