Gender: The social and cultural roles, characteristics, and identities associated with being male, female, or non-binary; distinct from biological sex.
The study examined how gender stereotypes in media influence children's career aspirations.
Flexible: Able to bend or adapt without breaking; capable of adjusting to different situations or changes.
The school implemented a flexible scheduling system that allows students to choose between in-person and remote learning options.
MW: - Winnow: To remove (people/things from a group until the best ones are left.
The early rounds of the spelling bee are designed to winnow the field from hundreds to just a select few.
Guidance News
We are preparing to place our order for June 2026 diplomas, caps and gowns. Please fill out the form located in your English google classroom and write your name on this form as you want it to appear on your diploma. Only legal names can appear. Your first name, your middle name if you wish it to appear or the Initial if you only want the Initial or blank if you don't want it added. Your last name as it appears on your birth certificate. If two last names appear they both must be on the diploma. Please also include your height for the graduation gown order. Please complete this form by March 23, 2026.
GSA
The Nassau County Police Department's annual prom boutique will take place on Saturday, April 18th. This event provides high school seniors in need the opportunity to select and try on prom attire, including dresses, tuxedos, and accessories, completely free of charge. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please see Ms. Vilardi in room 300.
Senior Class News
Senior Bowling Night is Thursday March 19 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Cost is $30 and is due with a signed permission slip on Friday March 13 to Ms. L in Room 308. Please see her or the senior reps for payment information.
Senior News
Senior Game Night will be held at Dave and Busters in Westbury on Tuesday March 31 from 6-8 PM. The cost is $30 and you're responsible for your own transportation there. Permission slips are due March 17 to Ms. L.
Hebrew Culture Club
There will be a Hebrew Culture Club Meeting today, March 11th. On Thursday the club has our trip to the museum, so there will not be a meeting on Thursday!
Yearbook

Latin American Club
There will be a Latin American Club meeting on Friday 3/13 immediately after school in room 231. Please plan to attend as we will be finalizing plans for next week’s movie night. Thank you.
Girls Badminton
There will be a girls badminton meeting after school today in the cafeteria at 3pm. All are welcome.

Lawrence Quiz Bowl capped off its regular season with a 123 - 82 win over Malverne. With a 4 and 1 record Lawrence is PLAYOFF BOUND!
